News and Events @ St. Paul’s
April 6th -- Adult Forum: Finding Strength and Hope in Difficult Political Times
Following political news these days is often overwhelming. Within a matter of minutes, we can find ourselves cycling through emotions ranging from anger to befuddlement to sadness and back again. It is hard to make sense of what is going on in our country and how we should respond. Yet with each passing day, the urge to respond grows stronger and stronger.
We don't need to wait for the right moment to respond, though; while honoring the different perspectives we each bring, we can start working through that right now.
Join your fellow congregants on Sunday morning, April 6, from 9:30-10:20 in Schafer Hall for a discussion about how our faith can guide us through these times and provide us with the strength, focus, and hope we need going forward. Coffee and doughnuts will be provided.
April 6th: Spring Cleaning after Service
Looking for volunteers for Sunday, April 6th Spring Cleaning effort. With brooms, dusters, and cleaning supplies (provided), the volunteers will refresh the sacred space. Task assignments will include: sweeping and mopping the aisles, cleaning pews, dusting/wiping down the sanctuary, gallery, and altar areas, and cleaning/polishing brass items and railings. Please consider helping to renew our worship space and bring a sense of peace and beauty to our place of worship and reflection.
EASTER @ St. Paul’s
April 20th is Easter Sunday. There will be one festival service at 10:30 am and we will be joined by a brass quintet. Our annual Easter breakfast (along with an Easter egg hunt) will take place before the service. Information on that below:
NEW!!! Easter Egg Casserole Cook-Off
Due to limits on bulk egg purchases, we are inviting congregants to contribute an egg casserole to the Easter breakfast this year. We’re hoping for a wide variety of dishes! If you would be interested in contributing a dish, please contact Jason Stonerook.
Help Needed for the Easter Breakfast
Thank you to everyone who has already volunteered for the Easter Breakfast—we still have plenty of room for volunteers, especially for:
· Set-up (this can be done Saturday afternoon before Easter)
· Cooking
· Replenishing food table during the breakfast
· Clean-up (and re-setting the room for its usual use)
If you are interested in any of these tasks, please contact Jason Stonerook
