Ash Wednesday and Wednesdays in Lent
Lent begins this Wednesday, February 18. We will hold one Ash Wednesday service at 7:00 pm, including Holy Communion and the imposition of ashes.
From February 25 through March 25, we will gather each Wednesday for Soup Suppers at 6:30 pm, followed by worship at 7:30 pm. (We will not meet during Holy Week.)
On February 25, we will share a special prayer service.
On all other Wednesdays, we will worship using Holden Evening Prayer.
Whether you’re seeking connection, reflection, or simply a warm bowl of soup, there is a place for you at the table. If you’re able, please sign up to contribute to one of the weekly meals. Call the office for the link to sign-up genius (202.966.5489).

Holy Week at St. Paul’s
Sunday, March 29th: Palm Sunday
One Service with the Reading of the Passion @ 10:30 am
Thursday, April 2nd: Maundy Thursday—One Service at 7 pm
Friday, April 3rd: Good Friday— One Service at 7 pm
Sunday, April 5th: Easter Sunday
Easter Breakfast at 9:15 am followed by an Easter egg hunt during Sunday school (approximately 10 am).
Festival Service with Brass Quintet begins at 10:30 am

Renowned Concordia Choir will be worshipping with us on March 8th!
Please join us in welcoming the Concordia Choir to St. Paul’s at our worship service on March 8 as they share selections from their afternoon concert at National Presbyterian (4 pm) with the Children’s Chorus of Washington.
The Concordia Choir is internationally recognized, with past tours to Germany (500th Anniversary of the Reformation) and Italy, including a performance at St. Peter’s Basilica. In 2024, they were named one of the Top 10 Most Impressive College Choirs by CollegeRank.net. Their Emmy‑winning Concordia Christmas Concerts air nationally, and their recordings—distributed worldwide—make them one of the top‑selling choirs in the country.
The choir is led by Dr. Michael Culloton, only the fourth director in its 100‑year history and co‑editor of the Matthew and Michael Culloton Choral Series. He was also featured in the documentary Never Stop Singing.

The RISE AND SHINE KIDS' CLUB features units centered on Bible stories that culminate in fun kid-oriented service projects. St. Paul’s Food Pantry: Proud partner of the Capital Area Food Bank, offering food to those in need on the 1st & 3rd Saturdays of each month from 10 am - noon. All those in need are welcome - no referral necessary.

Join your fellow parishioners Sunday mornings in Schafer Hall for stimulating drinks and stimulating conversations. The winter/spring session will focus on John Fugelsang's new book The Separation of Church and Hate: A Sane Person's Guide to Taking Back the Bible from Fundamentalists, Fascists, and Flock-Fleecing Fascists. No need to read the book beforehand, but you're certainly welcome to pick up a copy if you'd like. All are welcome!

Prime Time Senior Center
Prime Time Center @ St. Paul's—Now meeting twice a month!
The Prime Time Center ( for those aged 60+) now gathers on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month between 11:00 am - 2:00 pm for fun and fellowship. Social Activism @ St. Paul's
“Learn to do good; seek justice, rescue the oppressed.” — Isaiah 1:17
In the January 28th e-newsletter and the February 8th Insert, Pastor Andrea invited us into the shared work of justice and compassion. In response to this call to action, St. Paul’s members are building a community within our congregation to share information, learn about advocacy opportunities, and participate in events to stand up and speak out for a more just world.

Vacation Bible School Registration Is Open! August 3rd-7th, 2026; 9 am—12 noon
Salvete Liberi! (Hi Children!) Please join us as we explore Ancient Rome! Through worship, crafts, outdoor play, Bible stories, and song, kids will be immersed in the world of St. Paul and will learn all about his journey, triumphs, heart-breaks, and faith as he worked to spread God's Word to the world.
Kids aged three (and potty-trained) through completed 5th Grade are invited to join in the fun. Older kids (completed 6th Grade and up) and adults are welcome and encouraged to help as volunteers.
The cost of the program is $90 per child ($170 for two children; $225 for 3 or more children).
