St. Paul's magnificent Schantz pipe organ awakens for an evening of thrilling music that will send delightful shivers down your spine and stir the soul. From film scores to Halloween classics, such as Star Wars and Bach’s Toccata, this concert promises to enchant listeners of all ages. Following the concert, we invite you behind the curtain for a short demo and history of this remarkable pipe organ, crafted by the renowned Schantz Organ Company. Discover how a pipe organ works, why there are so many keyboards, and— what’s with all the buttons? Experience the power and artistry of one of the region's largest instruments in an unforgettable evening of music and discovery.

Friends of Music at St. Paul’s mission is to support our magnificent instruments and to promote excellence in liturgical and concert music at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church for the greater Washington, DC community.

Throughout the year, St. Paul’s welcomes a variety of musical groups to sing in the sanctuary. These groups have included the Washington Bach Consort, Thomas Circle Singers, Polyhymnia Chamber Chorus and the Children’s Chorus of Washington.
The Sanctuary Nave is adorned with beautiful stained glass works, an acoustically resplendent venue to host your organizations concerts or events. The Sanctuary instruments include the Great and Chancel Organs (Schantz 1985/1993) and a Steinway Concert Grand.
