Serving in Worship

St. Pauls has weekly opportunities for congregants to serve as lay ministers, assisting our liturgy, providing logistical support, and much more.

  • Youth

    ●      Acolytes (age 11 +)

The word “acolyte” means “follower” or “helper.” Young people serve as acolytes by lighting the candles at the beginning of worship and assisting with offering and communion. Acolytes add to the dignity and ceremony of our liturgy and are central to youth involvement in religious life. Children aged 11 and up may serve. Training and vestments are provided by the church.

    ●      Youth Greeters/Ushers (age 5+)

Youth as young as five may join their caretaker to serve as a greeter/usher. Youth welcome people to worship, collect the offering, and assist with communion.
