College Scholarship Applications Accepted Now through July 15th!

As you know, St. Paul's has a college scholarship fund and we are now accepting applications! So, if you have a daughter or son planning to enter college this fall, and are in need of financial assistance, we would like to hear from them by July 15th.

Please have them contact Pastor Walker in writing (by email or letter) stating the following:

1. Tell us about yourself, and what you hope to study in college.

2. What motivates you, and what change would you like to see in the world?

Your family's financial data is not necessary. Priority will be given to students beginning their first year but we may consider those entering other years of their education.

Please contact Pastor Andrea at awalker@stpaulslutherandc.com if you have any questions.

Church Council Notes:

The St. Paul’s Council met on May 19, 2025. Highlights of the meeting are listed below. A copy of the minutes can be available for members of St. Paul’s upon request.

· The Council has worked from St. Paul’s existing mission and vision statement to develop an updated version, keeping the heart of our message while making it more memorable and meaningful for all generations, from children to lifelong members. A proposed update will be shared with the congregation soon, with time for feedback before anything is finalized.

· The Council noted that work is ongoing to identify and select a new choir/music director.

· St. Paul’s year-to-date income and expenses balance out to a net operating loss at this time.

Friends of the Choir Fund

There is now a new donation button on members' MyVanco account for online giving to the church, for the "Friends of the Choir" fund. The budget approved at the 2025 congregational meeting provided support for the choir's professional section leaders through April 2025. Contributions to this fund are used to extend for the rest of the year these positions that maintain the level of choral worship that St. Paul's has historically experienced. You can contribute to the fund either through MyVanco or by check with "Friends of the Choir" in the memo line.
